Meta has launched Vibes, a new AI video feed
Meta Platforms has unveiled Vibes, a new AI-powered video feed that allows users to create, share, and remix short-form, AI-generated videos. The launch marks another step in the company’s push to accelerate its artificial intelligence initiatives and diversify revenue streams.
Starting Thursday, Vibes will be available on the Meta AI app and via the meta.ai website. Users can generate videos from scratch, edit existing content, or remix clips from the Vibes feed. The platform also enables creators to add visuals, layer in music, and seamlessly share their videos directly to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels.
Meta sees Vibes as both a creative playground and a growth opportunity. With cross-platform integration, the company is aiming to position AI-generated video content as a core feature across its suite of apps.
The new product launch follows Meta’s reorganization of its AI operations in June, when it formed Superintelligence Labs after challenges with its open-source Llama 4 model and the departure of several key researchers. Despite these setbacks, Meta is doubling down on AI development, with a focus on tools that could open up fresh revenue channels.
Meta, which reported nearly $165 billion in revenue last year, is betting on innovations such as the Meta AI app, image-to-video advertising tools, and AI-powered smart glasses to fuel future growth.
By rolling out Vibes, Meta aims not only to capture the rising interest in generative AI content but also to strengthen its position against rivals in the fast-growing AI video space.
