No-code website builder Framer hits $2 billion valuation

Framer, the Amsterdam-based no-code website builder, has reached a $2 billion valuation after raising $100 million in Series D funding, led by existing investors Meritech and Atomico. The round underscores both Framer’s momentum and the growing demand for next-generation website building platforms.
The funding follows Framer’s $27 million Series C in 2023, also led by Meritech, at an undisclosed valuation. Now, with more than 500,000 monthly active users, Framer has officially joined the ranks of “double unicorns.”
Betting on Enterprise and AI
“With this funding, we’re doubling down on enterprise growth and AI so any company can confidently run their entire website on Framer,” CEO and co-founder Koen Bok told TechCrunch.
Unlike traditional static site builders, Framer supports dynamic, easily editable websites that don’t require developer intervention. Over the past year, the company has expanded its platform with analytics, enterprise security tools, and deeper collaboration features — aiming to help companies fully operate their digital presence through Framer.
The push toward enterprise is already paying off. Since launching business-focused plans late last year, companies now represent the majority of new customers. The roster includes names like Miro, Perplexity, and Scale AI, along with 40% of Y Combinator’s latest startup batch.
Surging Growth and Revenue
Framer’s pivot toward B2B is boosting its financial profile as well. The company reports $50 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) this year and has set its sights on crossing the $100 million ARR mark in 2026. Bok added that Framer has been operating at break-even for the past year, signaling disciplined growth amid expansion.
A Crowded but Growing Market
The milestone comes at a time when website and design platforms are seeing heightened competition. Framer faces off against incumbents like Squarespace and Wix, design-native tools like Figma, and a new wave of so-called “vibe coding” startups such as Cursor and Lovable.
Still, Framer believes its blend of design-first workflows, AI capabilities, and enterprise-grade infrastructure sets it apart. Founded by Koen Bok and Jorn van Dijk, who previously sold their design studio to Facebook in 2011, the company positions itself as “the website builder loved by designers” — a platform where creative teams can stand out while scaling confidently.
The Road Ahead
With fresh capital and rising enterprise adoption, Framer is poised to cement itself as a category leader in modern web design. As competition intensifies, the company’s bet on AI-powered, design-centric workflows may well determine whether its $2 billion valuation is just the beginning.
