Spotify is giving DJs a major upgrade. The streaming giant announced Wednesday that its service now directly integrates with popular desktop DJ software including rekordbox, Serato, and djay.

The new feature lets users pull their entire Spotify libraries and playlists into these programs, streamlining the process of building and performing DJ sets.

“You can effortlessly mix songs from Spotify using supported DJ software, curating your sets to build momentum or create mood shifts between tracks,” the company wrote in a blog post. “Just log in to access Spotify’s entire music catalog, including your own playlists and Spotify’s editorial selections.”

For Premium Users Only

The integration is exclusive to Spotify Premium subscribers, and it will roll out across 51 global markets. Spotify says the update makes it easier for both professionals and hobbyists to experiment with creative transitions, mashups, and mood-driven setlists.

The move comes just weeks after Spotify introduced a new feature for Premium users that enables custom transitions between songs in playlists—a tool that hinted at the company’s growing interest in supporting DJs and music creators.

Expanding Spotify’s Feature Set

This announcement is part of a broader wave of updates from the streaming service. In recent months, Spotify has added support for lossless music streaming, smart filters to fine-tune playlists, in-app messaging, and even unlocked the ability for free users to directly select and play tracks.

With direct DJ software integration now live, Spotify is positioning itself not only as a listening platform, but also as a powerful creative tool for DJs who want seamless access to the world’s largest music catalog.
